Southdown Festival Fall 2007 |

 My third appearance at the Southdown Marketplace, held on November 3, 2007 began early with set-up with friendly neighbors, coffee & beignets! An early start on the plantation served as a great springboard for the busy day to come! As the gates opened for the marketplace, the community flooded the grounds of Southdown Plantation. Every year, the Southdown Marketplace attracts many people in local and surrounding areas.

Art After Dark Spring 2007 Fiesta |

 The night was perfect for an enthusiastic audience. The ninth annual Art After Dark took place on September 8, 2007 in downtown Houma. The art-walk in downtown Houma featured Vivian's Vision at the Terrebonne Waterlife Museum & Memorial Park. A wide variety of visual art, live music poetry readings and performance art was available for the community.

Summer Fun at Glassworks!!! |

 The New Orleans GlassWorks and Printmaking Studio offer its summer young adult workshop from June through August for students ages 10 -16. Young adults are introduced to and have extensive hands on instruction in lampworking, glassblowing, architectural stained and fused glass, welded metal sculpture, complemented by printmaking, paper engineering with books arts, copper enameling & glass mosaics.
